3-5-2021....View of Athena (GHO) yesterday morning. This is the 11th consecutive year she has returned to raise her babies in same nest at WFC. Nest is in Sotol planter that is 10-feet above entrance to garden. She lays eggs over a 3 or 4 day period in early February. Eggs will hatch mid-March and it will be late March before owlets are big enough to look over ledge of planter. Owlets will not fledge until late April when they literally jump out of nest.
